Creating a unique, beautiful, and very personal floral vision for your wedding is an involved, back-and-forth creative and collaborative process. In order to bring your vision to life or to help you find your vision, I need to spend time with you to understand your style – your likes, dislikes, interests, what is meaningful and special to you, etc.
Step 1: Get In Touch
Once you get in touch initially, either by filling out the contact form on my website, sending me an email, or calling me on the phone, I will send you a Wedding Flowers Questionnaire via email. This gives me the broad scope of your floral vision. In addition, sharing your Pinterest Board that you might have started for your wedding flowers and/or any pictures of your wedding party attire is helpful at this time.
Step 2: Schedule a Consultation
Meeting in person works best, but for those couples that live out-of-state we can discuss your wedding flowers over the phone or via Skype. Consultations usually take about 1.5-2 hours. During the consultation we will talk about wedding theme, favorite flowers, style preferences, color palette, and overall floral vision. This meeting is crucial for me to really understand you as a couple, you as individuals, the vision you have for your wedding, and your dreams and desires for your flowers. This is where we dive in to the nitty gritty of the designs to create arrangements that are perfect and unique for you.
Step 3: Reviewing an Custom Tailored Proposal
After our floral meeting I put together a comprehensive and detailed proposal for your wedding flowers based on YOU. The proposal will give detailed descriptions of each arrangement, and you will often get visuals and drawings of the key floral pieces.
Step 4: Securing Love Letters Floral Design as Your Wedding Florist
I only take a limited number of weddings each year. A deposit with the signed contract is required for formally hold the date. The remaining balance is then due 30 days out from your wedding.
Step 5: Venue Walk Through and/or Final Review of Wedding Florals
Sometimes there is quite a bit of time in between signing the contract and the day of your wedding. Your vision can change and evolve over this time period, and that is okay. It’s beneficial if we talk one last time close to your wedding for a final review of all your floral arrangements. When I am able to, I love to attend final venue walk throughs, but that is dependent on schedule and location. Scheduling a time to run through everything one last time, either in person or over the phone, is best about 1-2 months out from your wedding.
Step 6: Wedding Day!
Your wedding flowers are delivered on-time by myself or an Assistant. Your bouquet or boutonniere is personally handed to you. Every flower is put in it’s intended place with thought, care, and intent.
It’s important to me that your floral arrangements are well designed, beautiful, fresh, and exactly what you envision (or even better than you’ve imagined!). Floral design for your wedding is a very intimate and personal form of art expression for me and I genuinely care that your wedding day is beautiful and absolutely amazing.
