When I met with Jessica and Jared to discuss their wedding flowers I knew that they were going to be a fun couple to work with. Easy-going and happy, Jessica and Jared were married over Labor Day Weekend at the Space Gallery in Denver’s Art District on Santa Fe. Their wedding was unique, lively, and modern.
Their wedding colors were sleek and simple – black and white, so they wanted to the flowers to be the ‘pops’ of color. For her bridal bouquet Jessica chose a beautifully vibrant combination of Picasso calla lilies, red ranunculuses, circus roses, pink zinnias, Thomas Edison dahlias, purple cushion mums, orange gerbera daisies, succulents, and Israeli ruskus. Her bridesmaids carried smaller bouquets of circus roses, red ranunculuses, purple cushion mums, pink zinninas, and hot pink gerbera daisies. Jessica loved the idea of movement, so to create that effect we incorporated strands of bear grass looped within the bouquets. How the bouquets stood out against the dresses! Jared wore a simple boutonniere of a red ranunculus bloom with a small accent of Israeli ruskus and loop of bear grass, and the groomsmen wore red ranunculus boutonnieres with a loop of bear grass. So. Much. Color!!!
Bernard and Nancy of FocusTree Photography, a husband and wife team, captured Jessica and Jared’s wedding beautifully. Thank you Bernard and Nancy for the lovely pictures.
