Jennie & Clint – June, 2014

Colorado is a premier wedding location for rustic, country, and mountain weddings, but who says you can’t have a tropical wedding in this land of Rocky Mountain paradise? Jennie and Clint did just that. They tied the knot this summer at the Butterfly Pavilion inside the Wings of the Tropics Conservatory. Lush and tropical it was – the only thing missing was the beach!

For Jennie’s bouquet we paired silk blooms with fresh flowers to create an incredibly gorgeous cascading bouquet, which included silk white hibiscus, silk plumerias, born blue dendrobium orchids, white Hawaiian dendrobium orchids, vanda orchids, white phalaenopsis orchids, green aspidistra leaves, xanadu leaves, leather leaf fern, and lily grass. Her two maids of honor carried hand-tied bouquets of white Asiatic lilies which we painted blue, born blue dendrobium orchids, white Hawaiian dendrobium orchids, leather leaf fern, aspidistra leaves, and lily grass. Her bridesmaids carried cascading pomander balls of born blue dendrobium orchids, white Hawaiian dendrobium orchids, painted blue white Asiatic lilies, aspidistra leaves, and lily grass, with a twisted ti leaf handle. The best man wore a boutonniere made from a born blue dendrobium orchid bloom and a white Hawaiian dendrobium orchid bloom with a touch of lily grass, while the groomsmen wore born blue dendrobium orchid boutonnieres, also with a touch of lily grass.

I had the opportunity to work with Adrienne and Amanda of The Gardner Effect, whom I  had met earlier this year at the Rocky Mountain Bridal Show. Adrienne and Amanda did a wonderful job coordinating Jennie and Clint’s wedding.

Thank you to Enoch Photography for capturing this unique wedding and for sharing the lovely pictures!

Jennie and Clint – congratulations to you both and all the best!
