BRIANNE & DYLAN – NOVEMBER, 2014

When I work with couples that have very soft color pallets, I am reminded that romantic pastels and muted colors can be absolutely stunning. Brianne and I met for coffee one evening late summer last year to discuss the floral arrangements for her upcoming wedding. I liked Brianne right away; she was down-to-earth and very easy to talk to. Brianne and Dylan were going to be married the weekend after Thanksgiving at Mile High Station. They didn’t have a a specific color scheme for their wedding, but Brianne wanted the flowers to be soft and subtle, as their ceremony would be taking place in the evening. The main “color” would be the warm glow from all the candles and blub lights they would be using to decorate the ceremony area. An evening ceremony fully illuminated with soft, white light?!?! Amazing! I fell in love with Brianne’s vision and I agreed that a muted color pallet was perfect for this kind of setting.

For her bridal bouquet, Brianne chose a gorgeous combination of gardenias, juliet garden roses, white cloud garden roses, crem de la crem roses, white anenomes, white ranunculi, lily of the valley, and lamb’s ear. Her maid of honor carried a smaller bouquet of crem de la crem roses, juliet garden roses, light pink anemones, peach ranunculi, lily of the valley, and lamb’s ear. Dylan wore a fragrant boutonniere made from a gardenia bloom, a small sprig of lily of the valley, and lamb’s ear.
