I was beyond thrilled when some dear friends of mine called to tell me they wanted to hire their “favorite florist” for their upcoming wedding. What sweet words to hear; I was touched. Anne and I served together many years ago in a volunteer program called AmeriCorps NCCC. She was my direct supervisor, which I will forever be grateful for, as serving with her was a wonderful experience. Anne is simply the best – full of life, motivated, and so much fun to be around. Beth is a fabulous lady, as well – incredibly social, kind, and funny. She also happens to be an AmeriCorps NCCC alum. Together they make a dynamic couple.
Anne and Beth got married on a gloriously sunny day at Deer Lake Orchard in Minnesota. While there can be some logistical challenges with doing floral design in a different state, everything went very smoothly. The folks at Koehler and Dramm were instrumental in helping me to get gorgeous flowers, and the owner at a cute little bed and breakfast, Nature’s Nest, was extremely gracious in allowing me to use her cute space as a floral design staging area. I cannot thank them enough!
Anne and Beth chose a stunning combination for their bouquets, including Coral Peonies, Apricot Stock, Blue Cornflower, Billy Balls, Yellow Gerbera Daisies, White Gerbera Daisies, Daisy Fever Few, Bluperum, and Salal. We also included authentic palmetto roses from Charleston, South Carolina in the bouquets, which were all wrapped together in white satin ribbon and burlap. Anne and Beth’s bridesmaids carried smaller bouquets created from Coral Peonies, Apricot Stock, Blue Cornflower, Billy Balls, Yellow Gerbera Daisies, White Gerbera Daisies, Daisy Fever Few, Bluperum, and Salal, wrapped together in coral satin ribbon and burlap.
Thank you to Corinna See Photography for the gorgeous images!
Anne and Beth, it was wonderful to see you and it was such an honor to be both a guest at your wedding, as well as your wedding florist. Congratulations on tying the knot. Love you both!!!
