This summer I had the wonderful opportunity to design the floral arrangements for some fabulous friends of mine, Erin and James. I have known Erin almost as long as I have been living in Colorado, which recently passed the eight year mark. Erin had started a creative writing group back in 2007 and being new to the area (and an English Literature major in college), I decided to join. Erin is a rock star with the pen. She has a somewhat sarcastic, yet incredibly witty humor. While the creative writing group has long been dissolved, Erin and I have remained good friends. James is equally as sharp and also very engaging. Together they are a dynamic couple. When Erin and James got engaged I was beyond thrilled.
Erin and James were married on the rooftop terrace of their condo building just outside of downtown Denver. It was one of those magnificent, sunny Colorado days with a bluebird sky as far as the eye could see. Their wedding was one of those extra special occasions when I was both a vendor, as well as a guest.
Erin’s bouquet was a modernized cascade, created from ivory peonies, white swan calla lilies, alabaster garden roses, white akito roses, silver brunia, Israeli ruskus, smilax, and lily grass.
