Throwback Thursday – Jacqueline and Chris, December 2016
I am so excited to share Jacqueline and Chris’ downtown Denver wedding! I am embarrassed to admit that I haven’t blogged in quite some time. And when I say ‘some time’ I mean almost two years…which is really impressive in a sense, but not in a good way. With the all the other tasks of running a floral business, not having quality blog editing software, and with planning my own wedding this past year, I just put blogging to the sidelines…and left it there. But, with the New Year quickly approaching I have made a renewed commitment to once again showcase and highlight the beautiful, gorgeous weddings that I have had the honor of being a part of. My couples and their wedding are just too wonderful not to share. Thus, with no further ado, here is Jacqueline and Chris’ wedding from December of 2016.
Jacqueline and Chris were married last December at the beautiful Oxford Hotel. This lovely downtown Denver wedding was actually a surprise wedding for the groom planned by Jacqueline who had been engaged to Chris for some time. When Jacqueline and Chris initially got engaged and started their wedding planning process things would always come up and derail their attempts to plan their wedding. One day Jacqueline decided that she was going to enlist the help of Susan with Save the Date Events and execute a spectacular wedding in a short turn-around time, all without telling Chris until the night before the wedding. It was a fabulous surprise to say the least!
Jacqueline wanted a Holiday-themed wedding, but she also wanted to include a Tartan/Scottish theme to incorporate some of her and Chris’ heritage. This was achieved through tartan-inspired fabric on the tables and tartan-inspired ribbon on the arch. Her bouquet incorporated lots of texture and was made from red piano garden roses, maroon peonies, white anemones, vendela roses, thistle, black cat scabiosas, hanging pepperberry, winterberry, nagi, noble fir, and mini pines cones. Plus, we incorporated an LED light strand into Jacqueline’s bouquet so it glowed!
Thank you to the talented Sarah Hays Photography for capturing Jacqueline and Chris’ magical Holiday wedding.
