Jamie & Will – July, 2014

Jamie and Will were married this summer at the lovely Hudson Gardens. I remember that day clearly. As I was heading south to deliver all the flowers there were dark clouds looming in the direction I was going. Dark clouds on a wedding day always make me nervous! There are countless sunny days in Colorado, which is part of the reason why living here is absolutely wonderful, but during the summer months afternoon thunderstorms can roll in. The ceremony was moved indoors as a result. Jamie’s dad had custom built a beautiful ceremony arch made from branches off of their property. It was a tight squeeze through the front door to the Inn at Hudson Gardens, but they managed to get the arch inside. It made for a beautifully rustic backdrop!

Jamie and Will chose a beautiful combination of navy and yellow for their wedding. For Jamie’s bouquet we used white dahlias, yellow dahlias, white freesia, white button fever few, yarrow, and yellow carnations, tied together with an ivory satin ribbon. Her bridesmaids carried petite bouquets of yellow carnations, yarrow, yellow fever few, and yellow dahlias, which popped against their navy dresses. Will wore a boutonniere created from a white freesia bloom with an accent of white yarrow, and his groomsmen wore yellow freesia boutonnieres with an accent of yellow button fever few.

Luckily the rain cleared up enough to get some gorgeous photos outside. Thank you to Beauty by MB for the lovely pictures!

Jamie and Will, thank you for giving me the opportunity to be a part of your special day. Congratulations and all the best to you both!
